About The Artist
I have been a Judaic artist for the
past 25 years, following several years of selling commissioned
works of "Scientific Themes In Abstract Art". I actually
began selling art before having taken formal art training at the
Philadelphia Museum College of Art, at Montclair State
University and at countless studio courses at Artists' Guilds.
My repertoire of commissioned works
include landscapes, illuminated texts, advertisements,
portraits, brochures, invitations, logos, etc. In the 80's
I began focusing on Judaic art and I have combined my
illustrative and calligraphic skills in designing ketubot,
synagogue murals and Biblical paintings. One of my
favorite works was commissioned by the UJA and prints have been
sealed in a time capsule in Jerusalem, to be opened on their
180th anniversary.
Sandwiched among these commissions,
I was employed at American Greetings and at Design Services at
the University of Pittsburg. I have exhibited throughout
the United States, Canada and Europe and found time to raise 8
children. |
